Episode 16: Alexxis Isaac, Operations Director at Eat the Change

Alexxis Isaac immediately inspired me—but not for the reasons you might think. Yes, she has an incredible background with several Ivy League schools on her resume. She’s had an accomplished career where she’s making tangible strides for equity and environmentalism. But what I most appreciate about Alexxis is her heart for the work that she is doing. Her passion is so evident—and her energy is contagious. Even when the work can feel overwhelming, Alexxis is not one to give up. We also dive into how your credentials are not there to define you—which is something we all need to hear when so many of us feel like we are “never enough.”

Here’s Alexxis’s biography if you’d like to learn more:

Alexxis Isaac currently works as the Operations Director at Eat the Change. Alexxis focuses on the intersection of people, strategy, and the business as a whole and she works on special projects that drive more agile and effective ways of working.

Prior to Eat the Change, Alexxis served as Advisor to the Mayor of Boston in a one-year role - where she had the unique opportunity to work for two Mayors in her time when the first Mayor she served became Secretary of Labor. Alexxis’s main interests while working at the Mayor's office were equitable food access systems and racial equity.

Alexxis completed her MBA at Harvard Business School in 2020, where she received a Dean's Award for her work in DEI and Socioeconomic Inclusion on campus, and has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. Between undergrad and grad school, Alexxis worked at Keystone Strategy, a boutique consulting firm specializing in digital transformation consulting.
