Name Your Story

Do you want to learn more about your mental health?

Are you concerned about a loved one, colleague, classmate, or friend?

Dr. Lauren Cook partnered with Launchpoint to provide your company, organization, or school with an informative course to help you understand your mental health while learning how to support those around you as well.

Here’s why it matters:

On average, one in four people experiences a mental health challenge. Even if you have not personally experienced anxiety, depression, or another mental health concern, chances are likely that someone you love has.

The Name Your Story curriculum gives your company, organization, or university the opportunity to not only learn about the signs and symptoms of the most common mental health concerns affecting people today, it also provides training on how to talk about these experiences with one another. Participants will also get an opportunity to learn about self-care and how to prioritize their wellbeing.

Here’s what you’ll learn from the Name Your Story curriculum:

  • Recognize the common signs and symptoms of various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance use, and more

  • Build communication skills so that you can lean into conversations about mental health concerns

  • Understand how to handle crisis situations, including suicidality, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault

  • Learn about how mindfulness, the art of flow, and the practice of gratitude can improve wellbeing

  • Develop a self-care plan that integrates physical, emotional, spiritual, academic/occupational, and social tenets for enhanced wellbeing
